Seth Saltiel

Seth Saltiel is an Assistant Research Professor in Cornell's Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. His experimental geophysics research examines frictional behavior in geological systems like tectonic faults, glacier beds, and geothermal reservoirs. He develops lab-scale measurements and field techniques to understand seismic activity and ice sheet dynamics.

Research focuses on:
