Seth M. Harbol

Seth M. Harbol is a Lecturer at the U.S. Military Academy, teaching CH101, General Chemistry. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from USMA (2014) and an M.S. in Chemistry from Oregon State University. His academic background includes commissioning as a Chemical Corps Officer and serving in chemical battalions in the U.S. and South Korea, including command of the 4th Chemical Company.

Research focuses on:

• Organic synthesis and organometallic catalysts
• Development of energetic materials

Selected publications include work on chlorine-free pyrotechnics and green illuminant compositions, co-authored with experts like Jesse J. Sabatini and Jay C. Poret. His work bridges chemical innovation with military applications.
