Seth J. Orlow, MD, PhD is Samuel Weinberg Professor of Pediatric Dermatology and Professor in Cell Biology and Pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He serves as Chair of the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology and Director of the Program in Cutaneous Biology.

His research spans three major areas: 1) Developing novel cancer therapeutics including melanoma treatments and chemoresistance pathways, 2) Investigating melanin synthesis mechanisms and oculocutaneous albinism, and 3) Studying vitiligo pathogenesis through endoplasmic reticulum stress models. Clinical focus includes pediatric eczema, psoriasis, and birthmark management.
