Dr. Seth Heringer is an Associate Professor of Theology and Scripture at Toccoa Falls College. He holds a Ph.D. from Fuller Theological Seminary, M.Div. from Duke Divinity School, and B.A. from St. Olaf College. His research explores theological interpretation of Scripture, historical methodology, hermeneutics, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Dr. Heringer has published extensively, including the book Uniting History and Theology: A Theological Critique of the Historical Method and numerous journal articles on New Testament theology and pedagogical practices. He teaches courses covering New Testament studies, theology, Baptist history, and theology of race.
His pedagogical innovations include using digital tools like interactive maps and Prezi to enhance biblical studies instruction. Recognitions include Fuller CATS Fellowship and Duke Divinity Fellow awards.
