Sesha Sridevi Alluri is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology within the V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science at Stevens Institute of Technology. She holds a PhD (2010) and MS (2007) in Chemistry from Stevens Institute of Technology.
Her research focuses on Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Synthesis, and Structure-based Drug Design. Current projects include developing novel antibiotics against resistant bacteria (e.g., Lugdunin analogs) and designing non-covalent SARS-CoV-2 3CL protease inhibitors using AI/ML. She has authored a textbook on drug discovery processes and holds patents for triazine compounds and HIV protease inhibitors.
