Serife Ak is a Professor of Instructional Technology at Aydin Adnan Menderes University in Türkiye and currently serves as a Visiting Research Fellow at the School of Education, Sport and Health. Her academic journey includes roles such as Deputy Director at the Distance Education Application and Research Centre (2019–2023), and visiting research experiences at the University of North Dakota (2011) and the University of Pristina (2013–2014). She holds a PhD from Ankara University, where her research focused on problem-based learning and student motivation in computer-supported environments.

Research Interests: Serife Ak’s work centers on instructional design, online teaching methodologies, and the psychosocial dimensions of technology adoption in education. She investigates how teachers adapt to post-digital competencies and explores individual differences affecting learning outcomes in technology-mediated environments.
Current Projects: Collaborating with Prof. Dr. Michael Jopling on a TÜBİTAK-funded project analyzing student teachers’ digital teaching competencies.
Labs/Teams: Previously affiliated with the Distance Education Application and Research Centre as Deputy Director (2019–2023), contributing to educational technology research and policy.
