معرفی
Serguei Cherednichenko is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience at Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden). He holds a PhD in Radio Physics from Moscow State Pedagogical University (1999) and a Physics diploma from Taganrog State Pedagogical Institute (1993). His research focuses on terahertz and millimeter-wave technologies, including superconducting detectors, hot-electron bolometers, and MgB₂-based systems for astronomy and sensing applications.
Key roles include leading development of terahertz mixers for ESA and Herschel Space Observatory projects, and advancing low-noise THz receiver technologies. His work spans detector material science, antenna design, and applications in biofuel monitoring and space instrumentation. Over 90 publications and 7 funded projects highlight contributions to superconducting devices and THz systems.
Current projects include fiber-integrated MgB₂ single-photon detectors and ultra-fast terahertz spectroscopy tools. His research bridges fundamental material science with applied technologies for next-generation detection systems.
