Serena Luchenski holds dual roles as a Clinical Associate Professor (Teaching) and Honorary Consultant in Public Health at University College London (UCL), within the Faculty of Population Health Sciences and the Institute of Epidemiology & Healthcare. She serves as Programme Co-Director of the UCL Online Master of Public Health (MPH), Director of the UCL Collaborative Centre for Inclusion Health, and Honorary Consultant at University College London Hospital, the UK Office for Health Disparities, and the UK Health Security Agency. She is also a Public Health Fellow for the Pathway charity, advocating for marginalized populations.
Education includes a PhD in Public Health (UCL, 2020), MSc in Epidemiology (McGill University, 2007), and BSc in Biology (University of Victoria, 2004). Her research focuses on Inclusion Health, addressing health disparities among people experiencing homelessness, sex workers, substance users, and other socially disadvantaged groups. Key projects include improving hospital-based preventative care, tuberculosis screening in homeless populations, and cardiovascular disease management.
Her work emphasizes co-production with communities, integrating lived experience into research and policy. Notable awards include Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health (FFPH) and NIHR Clinical Doctoral Research Fellow. Current initiatives include editing the first Inclusion Health textbook and leading projects on health data visibility for marginalized groups.
