Serena Keshavjee is a faculty member in the Cultural Studies program at the University of Winnipeg. Her academic work bridges art history, cultural studies, and the interplay between science and spirituality in visual culture.

Her research focuses on Fin-de-Siècle science, Symbolist art, and Modernist Canadian art, architecture, and design. She teaches courses such as HIST-4802: Fin-de-Siècle Art and Architecture (1880-1914) and HIST-3810: 20th Century Art, emphasizing interdisciplinary connections between art, science, and cultural history.
Serena’s publications, including Science and the Visual Culture of Spiritualism (2013) and The Scientization of Spirituality (1999), explore the integration of scientific concepts into artistic movements like Symbolism and the evolution of modernist architecture in Canada. Her editorial projects, such as Winnipeg Modern Architecture: 1945-1975, highlight regional design histories.
