Dr. Seren Evans is a Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Science and Research Associate in Rugby Union Injury Surveillance at Bangor University. Her primary role involves teaching on the MSc Exercise is Medicine course, focusing on exercise testing and prescription for clinical populations. She leads the Welsh Injury Surveillance project for World Rugby, investigating injury risks in young female rugby players from grassroots to elite levels. Additionally, she serves as a physiotherapist for Regional Age Grade Male and Female rugby teams (Under 18s) under the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU)/RGC.
Her research emphasizes injury prevention and surveillance in rugby, particularly for youth and female athletes. Key projects include applying artificial intelligence to predict injuries and analyzing non-contact injury patterns.
