Serdal UĠURLU serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Histology-Embryology at Beykent University's Faculty of Medicine. Previously, he held significant administrative positions at Istanbul University including Head of Department (1995-1998) and Faculty Board Membership (1992-2000).
His research interests span Histology, Embryology, Stem Cell Research, and Experimental Medicine. His scholarly work demonstrates consistent focus on tissue biology, developmental processes, and experimental approaches to medical questions. His publications cover diverse areas from umbilical cord stem cell markers to veterinary nutrition and inhalation toxicology.
His recent publications (2019-2021) show continued focus on developmental biology and stem cell research, with his upcoming presentation scheduled for May 6, 2025 on LGBT biological processes indicating expansion into interdisciplinary research combining scientific and artificial intelligence perspectives.

As an educator, he has consistently taught Histology and Embryology courses since 2017, along with specialized instruction in Use of Experimental Animals in Medicine. His administrative experience includes Board Membership at Beykent University since 2017.
