Sera Choi

Dr. Sera Choi is a Researcher at the University of Sydney's Plant Breeding Institute, appointed since 2024. She holds a PhD in molecular plant-pathogen interaction from Massey University (New Zealand) and completed postdoctoral research in molecular plant pathology and plant immune receptor biology at POSTECH (South Korea) and the University of Zurich (Switzerland). Her current research focuses on developing novel hybrid crop systems in barley, employing CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, synthetic biology, and genetic mapping techniques.
