- Education: PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Seoul National University, Korea (1998).
Research Interests: Dr. Hong investigates cutaneous biology through clinically relevant animal models, including bacterial biofilm models, ischemic-reperfusion injury models, and dermatitis models. His work bridges translational research and fibrosis mechanisms.
Publication Trends: Recent articles address skin fibrosis (2025), immune responses to breast implants (2024), Wnt signaling in fibrosis (2024), and Staphylococcus aureus adaptations in diabetes (2024). These span molecular dermatology, immunomodulation, and translational surgical research.
