Dr. Seo Yoon Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Digital Media Program within the Department of Information Science Technology at the University of Houston's Cullen College of Engineering. She earned her Ph.D. in Media and Communications from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2023, following MA and BA degrees in Mass Communication from Sogang University in Seoul, South Korea.
Her research explores two primary domains: the motivational factors behind toxic online communication and the impact of emerging media technologies on strategic communication, particularly in health and environmental contexts. This work bridges digital media psychology with practical applications in crisis management.
