Dr. Senol Dogan is a Cancer Genomics Researcher & Bioinformatician at the University of Leipzig, affiliated with the Peter Debye Institute for Soft Matter Physics and the Faculty of Physics and Earth Sciences. He also serves as a Biostatistician in the Department of Gynecology at Leipzig University Medical Center. His academic journey includes a PhD in Cancer Genomics (2015) and Master’s in Bioinformatics (2012) from International Burch University, along with a Bachelor’s in Biology from Marmara University (1998).
His research focuses on cancer genomics, bioinformatics, and molecular oncology, with expertise in gene expression, mutation analysis, and microRNA studies. Dr. Dogan has conducted groundbreaking work on disseminated tumor cells, HER2 receptor dynamics, and cfDNA biomarkers in breast cancer. He has also contributed to educational initiatives, including organizing science Olympiads in the Balkans.
