Sena Clara Creston

Sena Clara Creston is an Assistant Professor of Art at Sonoma State University's College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts. Her creative practice centers on interactive installations that explore relationships between light, movement, and materials, often through robotic sculptures that examine human-nature interactions in technologically mediated contexts. She holds a B.A. in Photography and Imaging from NYU and an M.F.A. in Electronic Arts from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Creston's interdisciplinary work bridges art, technology, and perception studies, creating experiential environments that challenge conventional boundaries between physical and digital realms. Her installations have been featured internationally at venues including the Borealis Festival of Light, TEDx events, Treefort Music Fest, and The Wassaic Project. Current research investigates how kinetic elements and responsive systems can transform audience engagement with art spaces.
