Semra Lee is a Lecturer in Violin and Chamber Music at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), part of Edith Cowan University. She leads the Darlington String Quartet, co-directs WAAPA’s string department, and serves as Assistant Concertmaster of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she is a regular member of the Australian World Orchestra and a founding member of the Darlington Piano Trio.

Research Interests
Semra focuses on string quartets and chamber music, with additional expertise in orchestral performance, new music interpretation, and music education. Her work bridges classical traditions with contemporary innovations.
Notable Activities
In 2023, she joined the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) and the Australian Strings Association (AUSTA). She has received grants such as the ABEC grant for Darlington Concerts (2022), KUBUS grant for studies in Amsterdam (1998–2000), and ANAM grant for training at Banff (1996). Semra frequently performs as a guest Concertmaster and soloist across Australia, including with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and Darwin Symphony Orchestra.
