Selçuk Aslan is a Lecturer at the Vocational School of Fine Arts, Department of Design, Kafkas University since 2016. Holding a PhD in Textile Engineering from Süleyman Demirel University (2017), he specializes in Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry, and Fabric Technology.

Research focuses on antibacterial textiles, shape memory polymers, and thermal comfort systems. His publications analyze sweat pad interactions (2013-2020), surgical gown performance (2013), and biodegradable polymer applications (2013-2015). Collaborations with Sibel Kaplan, Ali Coşkan, and Sertaç Güney from 2010-2020 produced 16 joint publications.
He supervised 1 undergraduate thesis and taught 56 courses (2016-2025) including Textile Technology, Occupational Mathematics, and Technical Textiles. His work extends to software development for apparel production optimization (2021-2023).
