Selin T. Sagalowsky is an Associate Professor in both the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Emergency Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She serves as Vice Chair for Education, Scholarship, and Academic Development in the Ronald O. Perelman Center for Emergency Services. Her clinical focus is on pediatric emergency medicine, specializing in critically ill children and those with complex medical conditions. She is deeply involved in medical education, overseeing residency programs, fellowships, and undergraduate medical education. Her research interests include patient and family-centered communication and medical education innovation. She has received multiple grants and awards for her work in improving care practices and communication in emergency settings.
Dr. Sagalowsky holds board certifications in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. She completed her MD at Yeshiva University, residency at Boston Children’s Hospital/Boston Medical Center, and a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Columbia University. She actively contributes to national organizations such as the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
