Selda Mant Menay serves as Professor at Dumlupinar University's Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting, having progressed through academic ranks from Instructor (2004) to full Professor (2021). She currently holds dual administrative roles as Department Head (2017-present) and Faculty Board Member (2018-present), alongside teaching responsibilities spanning undergraduate drawing/painting studios and graduate-level theory courses.
Her educational background includes:
- Bachelor's in Art Education from Anadolu University (1990-1994)
- Master's in Painting from Anadolu University (1994-1997)
- PhD in Fine Arts Education from Anadolu University (1998-2007)
Research interests center on contemporary art practices with emphasis on figurative approaches, performance art analysis, and ceramic traditions. Her work consistently bridges historical Turkish art forms (Ottoman miniatures, Kütahya tiles) with modern artistic expression, particularly examining figure-space relationships and cultural reinterpretation.
