Sejal Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Criminal Justice, Legal Studies & Homeland Security at St. John's University. She previously served as Assistant Director of Career Development and Adjunct Professor at St. John’s University School of Law. Prior roles include Assistant Deputy Public Defender for the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender and law clerk to the Honorable Joseph L. Foster of the Ocean County Superior Court.
Education: BA from Rutgers College, Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School.
Teaching focuses on Legal Ethics, Family Law, and Criminal Law. Research interests include Ethics in Criminal Justice and systemic reforms. Courses taught include Immigration Law, Legal Research & Writing, and Introduction to Legal Studies.
Professional experience includes litigation in termination of parental rights cases and kinship guardianship matters.
