Professor Seif Shaheen is a Professor of Life Course Epidemiology at Queen Mary University of London, leading the Life Course Epidemiology Group within the Wolfson Institute of Population Health. He holds an honorary position at the University of Melbourne, Australia. His expertise spans respiratory, genetic, nutritional, and toxic metal epidemiology, with a focus on early life origins of disease and cohort studies like ALSPAC and the COVIDENCE UK initiative.

- MSc in Epidemiology, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine
- PhD under David Barker FRS
Research Interests: Investigates how genes, lifestyle, and environment influence asthma, COPD, and comorbidities across the life course. Current projects include dietary influences on respiratory outcomes, shared genetics between asthma and ADHD, and toxic metal exposure’s role in health inequalities.
