Sedigheh Zabihi

Sedigheh Zabihi is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Quantitative Methods at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London. She is affiliated with the Dementia and Neurodegeneration Policy Research Unit (DeNPRU-QM) and the Centre for Psychiatry and Mental Health. Her work focuses on leveraging electronic health records (EHR) to inform policy and improve care for neurodegenerative diseases such as dementia, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. She holds a clinical psychology undergraduate degree from the University of Tehran and a postgraduate degree from University College London (UCL).

Research Interests:

• Dementia prevention and early diagnosis
• Trauma in older adult populations
• Mental health equity for refugees, migrants, and minoritised ethnic groups

Her research combines epidemiological analysis with policy evaluation, emphasizing health disparities and culturally sensitive care. Recent work includes studies on dementia education for healthcare professionals, post-traumatic stress disorder in aging populations, and barriers to timely dementia diagnosis in diverse communities. She collaborates internationally on initiatives like the APPLE-Tree dementia prevention program.
