Sebastian Truskolaski is a Lecturer in German Cultural Studies at the University of Manchester since 2021, previously teaching at Trinity College Dublin and King's College London. He holds a PhD from Goldsmiths, University of London (2016) and a fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
His research focuses on intersections between modern art, literature, and philosophy, particularly Kant to Derrida, Frankfurt School aesthetics, and translation theory. Notable works include *Adorno and the Ban on Images* (2021), translations of Benjamin's *The Storyteller* (2023), and co-edited volumes on Walter Benjamin's philosophy. Currently developing a monograph on Hölderlin and communal theory.
Teaches across German Studies and related disciplines, supervising PhDs in critical theory, philosophy, and literature. Editor for *New Benjamin Studies* (Brill-Fink) and guest editor of *Anthropology & Materialism* (2017). Media contributions include BBC interviews and podcasts discussing Adorno and Benjamin.
