Sebastian Egenhofer serves as a Professor in the Department of Art History at the University of Vienna, actively engaged in teaching and research through 2025. His institutional affiliation includes the research cluster “Art History and Visual Culture” (Visuelle Kulturgeschichte), where he contributes to interdisciplinary scholarship on visual culture.
His research centers on modern and contemporary art with specialized expertise in Viennese art movements, artists’ archives and estates, and site-specific practices in art and architecture.
