Sean's research focuses on political party adaptation, new media in campaigning, devolved governance, and labor market policies. His recent work examines how public procurement and activation policies affect labor standards across Anglo democracies and explores political dynamics in Japan and the UK, including opposition party development and federal responses during the pandemic.
His publications reveal a strong trend in comparative public policy and political institutionalism, particularly in the context of crisis governance and party system evolution. Much of his recent scholarship engages with policy implementation across decentralized systems and the role of non-traditional parties in mature democracies.
