Sean P. Dillon serves as Professor of Theatre Arts within the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of La Verne. He teaches a comprehensive range of courses including Introduction to Directing, Theatre and Stage Management, Play-writing and Screenwriting, Drama On Page and On Stage, Oral Communication, Acting for the Camera, and interdisciplinary courses in the Honors Program.
Professor Dillon brings extensive industry experience to his academic role, having worked as a director, writer, actor, composer, designer, teacher, and filmmaker. His creative work spans diverse venues from traditional theaters to unconventional spaces including tents, churches, museums, and boat marinas on the Adriatic Sea. He has held positions at major film studios and worked independently as a creative consultant.
As an accomplished practitioner, Dillon is co-founder of Biscuits & Gravy Productions, an entertainment company that has produced numerous short films, educational films, industrial films, and two feature-length projects. His real-world expertise informs his teaching approach across the theatre curriculum.

His professional journey includes non-theatrical work managing a stationery store, factory assembly line work, and serving as an executive assistant, providing him with diverse life experiences that enrich his pedagogy. Professor Dillon teaches from the Dailey Theatre facility on campus.
