Sean Knight

Sean Knight is a Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Manchester, affiliated with the Division of Immunology, Immunity to Infection and Respiratory Medicine. He holds an Academic Clinical Lecturer position and is a specialist registrar in Respiratory Medicine. His career includes roles such as Honorary Respiratory Registrar at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust (2019–2020) and Respiratory Academic Clinical Fellowship in London (2015).

He has pioneered scalable lentiviral vector production systems and investigates thromboinflammatory mechanisms in stroke related to SARS-CoV2. His research also addresses monocyte migration in acute/long COVID and cytokine profiling in severe infections.
