Sean D. Sullivan

Sean D. Sullivan is a Professor of Pharmacy at the University of Washington School of Pharmacy and holds a joint appointment as Professor of Health Services at the School of Public Health. He served as Dean of the School of Pharmacy from 2014 to 2022 and is a Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Dr. Sullivan’s research spans pharmaceutical policy, health economics, and global health technology assessment. He has contributed to evidence-based frameworks for drug reimbursement and value assessment.

His recent publications examine Medicare drug price negotiation, biosimilars market dynamics, generic drug overpayment, and cost-effectiveness of therapies. Themes include health equity, policy reform, and economic modeling in pharmaceuticals. Dr. Sullivan has received prestigious awards including the National Academy of Medicine election and AAAS Fellowship. He has served on advisory committees such as Medicare Evidence Development and Coverage Advisory Committee, shaping healthcare policy nationally.
