Sean Bromfield is a Researcher in the Department of Psychology at the University of Limerick, holding a PhD in Social and Community Psychology funded by the Dublin Regional Homeless Executive (DRHE). As Lead Researcher of the Dublin Housing First Project, he evaluates program implementation and outcomes for entrenched rough sleepers. His work focuses on homelessness, program fidelity, and well-being in marginalized populations.
Education:
- PhD in Social and Community Psychology, University of Limerick (funded by DRHE, 2013–present)
- MA in Social Policy, University of Birmingham (2008–2009)
- BA in Modern History and Politics, University of Southampton (2003–2006)
Research Interests: Sean’s research centers on Housing First initiatives, program adaptation in social interventions, and the application of community psychology principles to homelessness reduction. He examines team processes, participant outcomes, and the societal impact of housing policies.
Awards: Recipient of the DRHE PhD Scholarship, supporting his interdisciplinary work in social policy and community psychology.
Advising & Grants: Supervised by Dr. Ronni Michelle Greenwood. His research is directly tied to the DRHE’s Housing First Demonstration (DHFD), a three-year longitudinal evaluation.
Labs/Teams: Core member of the Dublin Housing First Project team, collaborating with policymakers and practitioners to inform evidence-based homelessness strategies.
