معرفی
Dr. Scott White is an Associate Professor in the Biosciences department at the University of Birmingham. He has been actively involved in research since 1997, with a focus on enzymology, structural biology, and microbial systems.
- Principal Investigator for projects including a summer studentship and interdisciplinary bridging initiatives
- Co-Investigator in major grants from BBSRC, MRC, and Wellcome Trust focusing on transhydrogenase mechanisms, immune receptor recognition, and microbial pathogenicity
Research Interests: Enzyme mechanisms, protein structure-function relationships, and microbial pathogenesis. His work contributes to Sustainable Development Goals through advancements in biochemical understanding with medical and environmental applications.
Key Projects: Recent studies include nitroreductase inhibition mechanisms (E. coli NfsA/B), lanthanide-binding coiled coils, and SecA translocation dynamics. His team uses X-ray crystallography and advanced biochemical techniques.
Grant Activity: Over 15 funded projects since 1997, including a 4-year BBSRC study on transhydrogenase redox reactions (2004–2007).
