معرفی
Scott W. Hiebert is a Professor of Biochemistry and Associate Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, holding the prestigious Hortense B. Ingram Chair in Cancer Research. His laboratory investigates molecular mechanisms of acute leukemia and transcriptional regulation in cancer biology.

Research Interests:
- Molecular mechanisms of acute leukemia
- Transcriptional repression by chromosomal translocation fusion proteins
- Role of co-repressors in cancer development
- Wnt signaling pathway regulation
- Mouse models of gene inactivation
- Chromatin structure and histone deacetylases
Scientific Contributions: Dr. Hiebert’s work has identified common transcriptional repression mechanisms across three leukemia-associated chromosomal translocations (t(8;21), inv(16), t(12;21)), linking the ETO/MTG family to tumor suppression in breast and colon cancers. His lab uses global gene expression analysis to connect transcriptional changes to tumorigenesis.
Laboratory: Hiebert Lab focuses on genomic and proteomic approaches to dissect cancer pathways.
