Scott Titshaw

Professor Scott Titshaw serves as Associate Dean for Faculty Research & Development and Professor of Law at Mercer University School of Law, teaching Property, Immigration Law, and Sexuality and the Law. His expertise spans Comparative Law, Family Law, German and European Union Law, Immigration Law, LGBT and Sexual Orientation Law, and Property Law.

His research focuses on immigration law, comparative law, and family law, with recent work on comparative citizenship law conducted at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies in Florence (2023). He integrates extensive practical experience into scholarship examining migration policy, human rights, and transnational legal frameworks.

Prior to Mercer, Professor Titshaw practiced immigration and transactional law for twelve years at Arnall Golden Gregory LLP, clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Adrian Duplantier, served as legal translator for Germany's Federal Constitutional Court, and worked as visiting foreign attorney with Roedl & Partner GbR. This international legal experience informs his teaching across courses including Asylum and Human Rights Clinic, Real Estate Transactions, and International Business Transactions.
