Scott Thomas is a Professor in the Department of Physics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and serves as Director of the New High Energy Theory Center. He is a member of the Graduate Faculty Group in High Energy Theory and contributes to mentoring graduate students.
- Research Focus: Theoretical physics, particularly in high-energy theory, quantum field theory, and particle physics.
Scientific Awards: Recognized with the Board of Trustees Award for Research Excellence (2016), and elected as Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) (2018) and Fellow of the American Physical Society (2014).
