Scott Sollom

Dr. Scott Sollom is a Professor of Theology and Associate Chair in the Department of Theology at Franciscan University. He also serves as Director of the Catechetical Institute. His work focuses on catechesis, the New Evangelization, and theological pedagogy.

Education includes a Ph.D. in Catechetics from the University of Notre Dame, an M.A. in Theology from Franciscan University (with Honors, 1998), and a B.A. in Humanities and Catholic Culture from Franciscan University (1994).

Research interests center on the Catechism of the Catholic Church, theological virtues in education, and strategies for effective religious pedagogy. His publications explore topics like liturgical symbolism, ecumenical dialogue, and sacramental theology.

Publications include articles in International Journal of Evangelization and Catechetics and Catechetical Review, as well as contributions to edited volumes on catechetical methodology. He has collaborated with scholars like Dr. Petroc Willey on projects analyzing the doctrinal foundations of Catholic catechesis.
