Scott Sleap is a Professor of Practice - STEM at the University of Sydney, specializing in Initial Teacher Education, Research, and Outreach. He concurrently holds an Honorary Professorship at the University of Newcastle's College of Engineering, Science, and Environment. As the foundational Principal of the NSW Virtual STEM Academy and STEM Enrichment Coordinator for the NSW Department of Education, he has impacted over 25,000 teachers and 200,000 students through STEM initiatives.

His research bridges critical gaps in STEM access and innovation, with emphasis on:
- Equity-driven programs for rural/remote communities and women in STEM
- Space education collaborations with NASA and the Australian Space Agency
