Scott Oldenburg

Scott Oldenburg is a Professor of English at Tulane University's Department of English, housed within the School of Liberal Arts. He specializes in 16th and 17th-century British literary and cultural studies, with a focus on topics such as immigration, plague, race, and the intersection of religion and economy. His research has been published in books like Alien Albion: Literature and Immigration in Early Modern England (2014) and A Weaver-Poet and the Plague: Labor, Poverty, and the Household in Shakespeare's London (2020), which explores the life of William Muggins during the 1603 plague.
