Scott Martens

Scott Martens serves as a Distinguished Service Professor in the Operations and Supply Chain Management department at the University of St. Thomas' Opus College of Business since 2023, where he leads the MS Business Analytics Program and develops the MS Supply Chain Management Program. Previously, he directed the #8-ranked MS Supply Chain Program at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management (2019-2023), increasing enrollment by 57% over three years. His industry leadership spans General Electric, American Express, and UnitedHealth Group, with executive roles including Chief Innovation Officer at Hennepin County and Executive Director at UnitedHealth Group.

His educational foundation includes a MS in Management (Supply Chain) from the Naval Postgraduate School and a BBA in Accounting from Iowa State University, complemented by CPA and CPL certifications. Military service as a naval aviator during the Gulf War flying S-3B Vikings adds to his leadership background.
