Dr. Scott M. Roulier is the John D. Trimble, Sr. Professor of Political Philosophy at Lyon College. He specializes in political theory, constitutional law, urban politics, and environmental politics. Roulier holds a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia and has been recognized with prestigious fellowships, including DAAD and Fulbright-Nehru awards. His research emphasizes intersections between politics, ethics, and environmental governance.
His notable works include Kantian Virtue at the Intersection of Politics and Nature (2004) and Shaping American Democracy: Landscapes and Urban Design (2018). Roulier has taught extensively at Lyon College and contributed to academic communities through residencies at Tübingen University and Massey University.
