Scott L. Page is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Norwich University's College of Arts and Sciences. He joined the faculty in 1999 and served two terms as Department Chair (2009–2015, 2016–2019). His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Anatomy and Cell Biology from Wayne State University School of Medicine and a B.S. in Health Science from Grand Valley State University.
Research Focus: Dr. Page investigates primate evolution through molecular genetics, with emphasis on craniofacial development phylogenetics, primate phylogeny reconstruction, and societal implications of scientific research. His work integrates genomic data to resolve evolutionary relationships among hominoids and Old World monkeys.
Publication Themes: His articles consistently explore molecular phylogenetics in primatology, utilizing DNA sequencing to analyze catarrhine evolution, Cercopithecidae classification, and hominoid divergence. Methodologies emphasize noncoding DNA and gamma-globin gene analyses to challenge traditional taxonomic models.
