Dr. Scott Jensen is an Associate Professor in the School of Information Systems & Technology at San José State University's Lucas College of Business. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indiana University Bloomington (2010) and holds master's degrees in Computer Science (DePaul University) and Accountancy (Southern Illinois University). His industry experience includes 15+ years at Ernst & Young, Price Waterhouse, and Arthur Andersen.
Research centers on Big Data pedagogy, metadata systems, and distributed computing. Notable projects include NSF-funded workshops on data science literacy and curriculum integration. He developed the 'Data Science for All' seminar series to introduce non-technical students to analytics tools.
