Scott F. Aikin serves as a Professor of Philosophy within the Department of Philosophy at Vanderbilt University's College of Arts and Science, where he has held a continuous faculty position since 2005 after previously teaching at the University of Mississippi.
His research spans core areas in pragmatism, epistemology, and ancient philosophy, with significant contributions to argumentation theory and rhetorical analysis.
