Scott Dixon is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Lawrence University, with a PhD from the University of California, Davis (2015). Previously, he held positions at Ashoka University (India) and was a Kit Fine Fellow at the Phlox research group and Department of Philosophy at Universität Hamburg. His research focuses on metaphysics, particularly grounding, relations, properties, propositions, mereology, and the philosophy of mathematics and religion. Key publications include works on directionalism, symmetric relations, metaphysical foundherentism, and infinite descent in grounding structures.
