Scott Delahunta is a Professor in Dance at Coventry University's Research Centre for Dance Research. He co-directs Motion Bank, an interdisciplinary research initiative hosted by Hochschule Mainz University of Applied Sciences. His career includes roles as Senior Research Fellow at Deakin Motion.Lab (2014–2019) and Director of R-Research at Wayne McGregor | Random Dance (2008–2013). Delahunta’s work bridges dance with technology, cognitive science, and digital media, focusing on choreographic processes and collaborative artistic research.
Education: PhD in Dance Studies from Plymouth University (2010).
Research Interests: Interdisciplinary choreography, digital tools for dance documentation (e.g., Motion Bank), AI applications in artistic processes, and knowledge transmission in contemporary dance. He emphasizes collaborative frameworks to explore creativity and memory in dance.
