Scott Anderson

Scott Anderson is a Clinical Professor of Legal Research & Writing at the Capital University Law School, serving as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs since June 2021. His career bridges legal practice and academia, with prior roles as a staff attorney at the Ohio Criminal Sentencing Commission, juvenile coordinator, and managing attorney of juvenile and civil divisions at the Licking County Prosecutor’s Office.

Anderson’s research focuses on legal contextualism, vagueness in law, and criminal procedure. Recent publications (2021) address criminal sentencing reform and drug policy, reflecting his commitment to bridging legal theory with systemic justice issues. Earlier articles (2013–2012) analyze academic freedom, legal communication, and constitutional rights.
