Scott Anderson is a Professor in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Washington, part of the College of Arts & Sciences. He serves as co-PI of the Time Domain Spectroscopic Survey in SDSS-IV and Program Head of the Black Hole Mapper in SDSS-V. His research focuses on observational studies of accretion-driven phenomena like quasars and compact binaries, utilizing instruments such as the Hubble Space Telescope and Chandra X-ray Observatory.
