معرفی
Scot A.C. Gould is a Professor of Physics at the Keck Science Center within the Claremont Colleges. His research spans interdisciplinary areas in Materials Science, Chemistry, and Physics, with a focus on Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) applications to polymers, catalysts, and biological materials like spider silk.
- Educational Background
- Ph.D. in Physics from University of California, Santa Barbara (1991)
- A.B. in Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science from Middlebury College (1985)
Research Interests include the ultrastructure of spider silk, surface properties of industrial catalysts, synthetic polymer formation, liquid crystalline materials, and physics education with Maple software. He also explores systemic risk in financial institutions through simulations.
Recent Publications highlight AFM studies of polymer films, catalyst degradation, and biological fiber alignment. His work bridges materials characterization, industrial chemistry, and biophysics.
