Michele L. Sarazen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Princeton University, with affiliations to the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment, Department of Chemistry, and Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. She earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley (2016) and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University (2011).
Research Focus: The Sarazen Research Group investigates heterogeneous catalysis using porous crystalline materials (zeolites, MOFs, porous organic polymers) for sustainable energy, environmental remediation, and chemical production. Their work integrates kinetic analysis, theoretical modeling, and advanced synthesis to optimize catalyst performance.
Recent Publications highlight expertise in reaction mechanism elucidation for CO2 electroreduction, plastic waste valorization, and hierarchical zeolite engineering. Scientific Recognition includes:
