Prof. Schoerkhuber is a Professor at the University of Innsbruck's Department of Mathematics, holding the position since 2021. Previously, she served as a W2 Professor at Goethe University Frankfurt (2020–2021) and led a Junior Research Group at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (2018–2021). Her expertise lies in the analysis of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs), focusing on time-dependent systems such as dispersive models (e.g., nonlinear wave/Schrödinger equations) and heat flows. She examines solution dynamics and finite-time singularities rigorously, bridging theoretical physics and pure mathematics.
**Research & Leadership**: She organizes high-profile events like the ESI Thematic Programme on Nonlinear Waves and Relativity (2024) and the BIRS Workshop on Women in Nonlinear Dispersive PDEs (2023). Her research group, 'Analysis of PDEs,' drives interdisciplinary studies in geometric dispersive PDEs and related systems.
**Teaching**: In 2025, she teaches Analysis 4 (Topology/Functional Analysis) and oversees a Bachelor Seminar. Her pedagogy emphasizes foundational mathematical concepts critical to advanced PDE analysis.
**Awards & Grants**: She received the Hertha-Firnberg Postdoctoral Fellowship (2015–2017), supporting her postdoc work at the University of Vienna. Her career includes a postdoc at Vienna University of Technology (2013–2015) and a PhD from the same institution (2013).
