Prof. Schirin Amir-Moazami is a University Professor at the Institute of Islamic Studies, Freie Universität Berlin, serving as Deputy Master Representative and head of the Research Unit 'Orders' in the SCRIPTS Cluster of Excellence. Her work focuses on the politics of religion in Europe, secularism, gender studies, and Islamic movements. She leads the RePLITO project exploring global repertoires of living together beyond national boundaries. She holds editorial roles in journals like ReOrient and Decolonial Perspectives, and advises on Muslim religious care in prisons. She earned her PhD from the European University Institute and has held visiting roles at the University of Bristol and Donner Institute.
